The participants also highlighted the role of credit bureaus in the positive management of banking and financial institutions’ risks, in particular positive complex credit bureaus and bureaus which map long-term customer credit history. Higher attention is now paid to complex information and personal data protection, and some European countries, such as France and Denmark, have recently included positive complex data in their credit bureaus.
To conclude, a recent ACCIS research showed some interesting trends and figures:
• almost 100% of its members offer credit reports to their users
• 80% of its members provide scoring in bureau score reports
• 60% of its members provide fraud prevention services
• more than 60% of its members offer customer identity checks.
