The e-Commerce EXPO 2021 forum took place on September 30 in Bishkek. This was the first e-commerce forum in the Kyrgyz Republic, held by the E-Commerce Association jointly with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the “Civil Initiative on Internet Policy” Public Fund.
The purpose of the event was to develop the E-Commerce market in Kyrgyzstan and it was attended by representatives of large international E-Commerce companies.
The speakers at the forum included the First Deputy for the Minister of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, a project manager representing Wildberries (an international online store operating in countries such as Russia, USA, Italy, Spain, Germany, and France), and representatives of the Interbank Processing Center and DemirBank management.
The speech given by Aizhan Bokonbaeva, General Manager of CRIF KG CJSC, focused on the need for cooperation between E-Commerce representatives and Credit Bureaus with an emphasis on the need for data analytics to build a socially responsible business space and reduce risks. She also referred to previous speakers to increase engagement and raise greater awareness and interest.
The CRIF KG presentation met with a good response, and aroused interest both among business and government agency representatives.
After the speech, meetings were held with the Interbank Processing Center, a representative from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and representatives from the business community. During the meetings, the need to establish mutually beneficial cooperation was highlighted, as well as the need to organize a joint initiative to expand the powers of Credit Bureaus to exchange data with marketplaces.
Moreover, the Association of Electronic Commerce, represented by the President of the Association, Kurenkeev Aibek, expressed its hope for the entry of the Credit Bureau into the Association, and the President of the Electronic Commerce Association presented a letter of appreciation.
