Driving Innovation for Sustainable and Efficient Water Resource Management
In March 2024, CRIF, together with 15 local companies, signed up to the “Water Pledge” initiative, promoted by the association Impronta Etica, aimed at encouraging more effective and sustainable management of water resources.
The aim of this network is to work together to promote actions to save water, improve water use efficiency, raise awareness among workers and students, carry out local initiatives, and proactively manage the risks associated with water scarcity.
As part of this commitment, CRIF was involved in the writing and publication of the first qualitative report “Commitments of member companies to sustainable water resource management”. In particular, the document looks in detail at the actions and best practices related to water management adopted by the signatory companies to the “Water Pledge”. As part of its own commitment, CRIF has already implemented concrete actions, with the installation of rainwater recovery systems at our new Italian premises of Bologna, CRIF 21, via della Beverara 21, and the Campus offices in Varignana, which collect and purify rainwater through special filtration processes.
The harvested rainwater is then used for irrigation and sanitary purposes, helping us reduce our dependency on municipal water supplies.
This initiative not only helps conserve water but also contributes to reducing the burden on the local infrastructure.
