Paris, June 16-17, 2011

Out of the economic crisis and legislative developments come changes to the reference scenarios, and financial institutions are looking towards the future – but have they learned from the past? The EFMA 2011 conference: Consumer Finance. Moving forward in a new direction analyzes the implications of these changes, including the effects on the competitive context and on the consumer credit market as a whole.

During the conference, Simone Capecchi, Director, Corporate Offer Italy & Western Europe for CRIF, and Marco Salemi, Director of Research & Innovation for CRIF Decision Solutions, will present the results of an original and innovative study carried out by CRIF and EFMA on “Responsible Lending”.
The study examines:

  • The implementation of the Consumer Credit Directive in European countries
  • The key trends in the consumer credit market
  • Best practices for the prevention of over-borrowing by retail customers.
The analysis, the results of which will be available for all participants at the end of the conference, is based on a survey involving over 300 European operators, with some direct interviews with representatives from key European credit companies.
