The results of the "Fortune 500 Turkey" 2021 study, which has been prepared jointly by CRIF Turkey and Fortune Turkey since 2007 and which ranks Turkey's top 500 companies, have been announced.
According to the Fortune 500 Turkey 2021 list, which ranks Turkey's top 500 companies, the net sales of companies in 2021 increased by 65.7 percent compared to the previous year and reached TL 3.2 trillion.
In 2021, Fortune 500 Turkey companies achieved the highest proportional increase in net sales, exports, and net profit since 2007 (15 years), when the study was conducted for the first time.
At the top of the Fortune 500 Turkey 2021 list, which was announced for the 15th time this year, was Enerji Piyasaları İşletme Anonim Şirketi (EPİAŞ), last year’s top ranked company. In 2021, EPİAŞ increased its net sales revenues by 57.9 percent compared to the previous year to around TL 167 billion to come first in the Fortune 500 Turkey 2021 ranking.
Türkiye Petrol Rafinerleri A.Ş. (TUPRAS), which has been at the top of the Fortune 500 Turkey ranking for many years, increased its net sales revenues by 138.7 percent in 2021 compared to the previous year and reached around TL 151 billion. Thus, TÜPRAŞ took second place on the Fortune 500 Turkey list in 2021 as it did in 2020.
Turkish Airlines (THY), which ranked third, started to rise again on the list with its high growth performance. Increasing its net sales revenues by 109.6 percent in 2021 compared to the previous year, THY took third place on the Fortune 500 Turkey 2021 list with a net sales revenue of around TL 97 billion.
