For the fifth year running, the Department of Statistical and Economic Sciences at the University of Bologna and CRIF have partnered to offer the 2020-2021 edition of the full-time Master’s in Quantitative Risk Management.
The Level 2 Master’s is aimed at training experts in the risk management of financial intermediaries, looking in detail at the concepts of probability, statistics, econometrics, financial engineering, and institutions in the financial intermediation markets, as well as emerging aspects of market, credit and liquidity risk, specifically examining the analysis of so-called big data.
The Master’s will be held in Bologna (subject to the development of the COVID-19 situation) and will last 12 months. The course is full time and includes a 360-hour internship (Experience Lab) at CRIF and other partner companies.
CRIF is offering 5 grants with a value of € 5,000 each for the most deserving students, selected on the basis of their previous studies and an interview process.
“The Master’s is taught in English and candidates must hold a degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, or political sciences, with a solid quantitative background. As well as providing the methodological skills necessary for market, credit and liquidity management, the course has a practical focus, through the use of the most common computing and data management techniques used by financial institutions; this is intended to facilitate the entry of students into the world of work,” explained Professor Sabrina Mulinacci, Department of Economic Sciences at the University of Bologna.
“This partnership with the University is an integral part of our CRIF4PostGraduates corporate program, aimed at supporting innovation and the training of highly specialized professionals. In addition, in this fifth edition of the Master’s, there will be the chance for recent graduates and professionals to try out the Experience Lab methodology. For this reason, CRIF is once again offering 5 grants to talented young people aspiring to become Risk Managers in important institutions or companies,” added Simone Sandre, Business Partner & Senior Talent Acquisition at CRIF.
