This CRIF-SDA Bocconi research edition looks in detail at innovation in the consumer credit market, with the valuable contribution and support of EUROFINAS. The aim is to identify the key phenomena emerging in the economies of the eleven most important consumer credit markets in Europe, and to define the potential strategies that credit companies can implement.
The data were collected through a questionnaire – see attached appendix – distributed to the national associations of consumer credit providers. The survey was conducted in eleven countries1, including
the top seven consumer credit markets within the EU28 (cf. ECRI, 2016). Respondents were asked to list innovative products in their respective markets and identify the factors contributing to their
success and competitiveness.
